Переглядів 1,7 тис.9 місяців тому
This is to show you how to align the power plate correctly into the corresponding groves of the Alpine monitor to prevent the stereo from turning on and then not staying powered on. Note: might need a second pair of hands if the vehicle dash kit doesn't allow the working room to mount the power plate and screw the cover plate on to hold the "power plate" in place.

I have this stereo and am in this bind myself. Is there anything you’d suggest other than a splitter?
I used the one output. For rear that's it. You can use a splitter into something else like audio control lc2pro if you want more pre amp voltage and sub control 🤷
TF is an "Android" stereo?
It's a Chinese stereo with Android software that are usually make to factory fit a certain location 🤣 They look better than they function usually
$200 touchscreen vs $800. Get what you pay for kinda?
It's true name brand. Especially SONY you'll pay extra but you do get CEA certifications and other things that kind of guarantee a standard for the most part when you do buy these things. Androids are for more tech savvy people who want to modify things but you obviously need to know about key gens and code etc... not for an average consumer and I'm not gonna sit there and play with it for them. 🤦
Ah. I have a raspberry PI with open auto on it. I like to tinker.
Look ma, i play a professional on UA-cam! Is there a Input Level Adjuster on your Amp? Yes? So why do you care about it? If you really are into Car Hifi you never get these Chineseium Head Units
This isn't mine 🤣 but thanks for the laugh
u don't know about car audio lame
It's not mine. Client. Refer to my other videos 😉 25 year MECP expert vet
use a spliter you hook up 3 rca Jack's dumby
If you listen to why I said that's a bad idea you wouldn't write this. Pre amp voltage is 2volt divide that and now how much dB loss do you get? 🤔 10log Pout/Pin is the formula 😉
Units with 2 outputs are usually just split internally anyway. A single output can generally be split twice without using an amplifier.
@@unsaidatom2310 oh yea? 🤔 So you're saying splitting it into 20k Ω from 10kΩ doesn't make difference huh 😀 very interesting. Your ohms law has different physics than mine 🤷 How does fade and balance or time alignment function if they the same source internally 🤔
@@VicOrlando I'm saying, Mr "I just read the internet yesterday", that it doesn't make much difference as the impedance is still high. I don't know about you, but when I balance and time align a system I don't use just what comes out of the head unit because it will ALWAYS need adjustment. Did you know that amps have different gain and that speakers have different sensitivity? Now next time you post something on UA-cam, maybe check your facts first. Also, you probably need to plug the business a bit more to make sure no one ends up with your dumb ass touching their car?
I want one so badly for the features and having a full OS I can do what I want with, including writing custom apps in Dart/Flutter. But no one makes a quality one yet that I am aware of. Seems only cheap Chinese ones are available. Still waiting.. also, finding a decent brand that works well with mirroring seems to be a thing if the past. So for now, just a quality Alpine with CarPlay/AndroidAuto is what I got.
Enon was a brand I used for German back in the day. Think they were sold on eBay. Early 2000s BMW went pretty smooth. Many cars that had OEM amps required amp bypass harnesses that were 17 feet long lol. Good times.
@@VicOrlando mine had the OEM infinity system, had to use the metra 15' amp bypass. I cut to fit and got an extra 10' or so of 16awg (or 18) scrap wire out of it!
About to do this but I'm going with an Andriod Tablet system. Depending on yout car you can buy a bezel and basically install any app with Google maps, car info with an OBD scanner etc. They run on Bluetooth as well so hooking up to any modern car is easy. Just read on getting any backup camera to work as well.
Everything sucks when u get a cheap knockoff. 😅
Guys that care about audio would never buy that junk anyways. Probably be fine for most consumers who arent looking for the most
Basic replacement mainly for looks. Definitely not a quality reliable piece of electronics
Please always look into details like what type of data your car uses, what software type your vehicle needs from the Android unit and if you're using aftermarket amps or not. OEM backup cam compatibly or aftermarket etc... Most shops won't touch these
Even better: Buy a breakout cable. No wire cutting needed at all.
Lots of great options to not cut corners 😕
Hard to look at tbh 😅
yikes… i’d never pretend to know what i’m doing when it comes to vehicle wiring 😂 just pay someone who does and it’ll save you the money of screwing your entire harness up
If you don't understand speaker polarity or wire type like Toyota is aluminum, it's not easy to solder. Ruining the integrity of the circuit can add resistance also. That's why it's not good practice to do what these guys did. 🤦
Extra work for nothing lol
For extra money for me 🤣 that's about it.
I’m an auto technician now and the issues I’m running into is these 2024’s vehicles with low voltage systems and everyone wants hard wired dash cameras. Gotta be careful about wiring them up
Highly recommend an oscilloscope. Don't want to tap data. You can use 5v from a USB source but you cut out any capacitive balancing that might be in a converter from 12 to 5v hard wire kits. Of course also cutting out the shut off voltage for any parking modes.
@@VicOrlando To be honest. I don’t think I’m going to stick this job out. They give me time base to get jobs done. Like 45 minutes for a dash camera. Using your method it could take me 45 minutes just to find RAP lol. And you are definitely correct don’t want to tap into a data wire that would be bad news. It’s really hard to find good mobile electronics installer’s but some of these companies are stuck with 2000’s installs time gates.
@@garry2280 that's sad. They need to get with the time. Rushing things is a terrible business model. If you work for a real shop, you'll enjoy doing things at a better pace. This isn't tint. Always follow through, test and make sure your customer knows how to use their equipment. That alone will be 10-15mins. Even if the shop doesn't care , make a good name for yourself. People will respect you more for it.
Do you know if the 6 track cd player still works with a radio like this?
Definitely doesn't

TY for sharing! Costco has the A80CK 77” for $2699 while Best Buy has them for the same price BUT the Costco price includes an extra 3yrs warranty and BB’s is $199/yr for Total Tech. When I called BB to find out more about warranty the Rep said it includes everything meaning appliances, electronics etc even if you DIDNT buy them at BB. It’s hard to believe but I spoke to 2 different Reps that said the same thing. We’re still buying it at Costco, just a heads up.
I forgot to mention you have to buy an item at BB like a tv where you have the Total Tech option. Then it applies to anything in the rest of the home.. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher.
Thats a great TV did one the other day. If you're adding fiber optic anything you need the special fiber optic tips for these newer TVs
Thanks for a simple version of review.
How much do techs make ?
For Audio Video a programmer and designer can make $80k or more. Depends if you're doing commercial or residential and if you're independent or not. Being a self contractor requires extensive background checks and state approval for bonding etc...
So I’m looking at SONY 8k TV’s and they don’t have any OLED 8k TV’s…is that because those don’t/won’t exist? Should I wait until an 8k OLED TV comes out, or just go with their 8k LED TV over their A80J 4k OLED TV?
8K OLED will probably never exist for consumer market. There's really no need unless your screen is over 100" get a SONY OLED tho and you won't regret it.
Very informative. Thanks man! Really appreciate that you share this information.
Very helpful video--thanks for making yourself available via email too.
Is there a video on how to remove radio bracket?
Just a few screws
Sony 👎🏽
Why? What was your bad experience?
Sorry, I will never buy anything made by Sony, with the exception of a Play Station. Sony customer service did me wrong 3 times with 3 different products since
I feel you on bad service. LG or Samsung for you then.
Hi.. well im searching for a qled neo i see in best buy the QN90 its the one with only 1 port hdmi my worry its about what type ots the panel ? Va ? I live in Puerto Rico USA territory.. but when i check COSTCO online in descroption for the QN90 its differebt number its shows as QN9. Like example 75QN9.. description shows 4 hdmi port assuming came with the connect box? Bit the panel ots VA OR IPS from Costco? This model ots the equal of QN95 the International model? Let me know please
It's a better model, you should get it. They're all LED any Q is blue back light for deeper contrast
I do not recommend the QN90a, I had to return mine because it was incredibly underwhelming.
thoughts about sony A80CJ (costco) vs bestbuy sony A80J
As far as what critical features ?
Is the Sony A80cj the same as Sony A80j ? Thank u
@@VicOrlando yes
Yes, C for "Costco"
@@VicOrlando thank u
It surely fixed the issues I was having and I highly recommend Vic services to anyone with a home or car audio needs. Expert in his field and very knowledgeable also
I sure try! Thanks. The new challenges from manufacturers don't make shit easy. From a simple clip to a software glitch 🤦♂️
I hope this helps many decide how they want to invest and why the pros choose certain brands. It's critical in the design process to budget things to cover all the aspects of what you need to do so that you're satisfied with what you bought. Some people are satisfied with just replacing parts and getting rid of rotten old tech, others want the ability to tune things to their music preferences. Don't measure all the pro's on the same experience level. Do your homework!
I wouldn’t get an 8k tv if I was watching any standard definition as it just looks too mushy. For now a good quality 4K hdr tv is what I went for.
I would say that is a wise decision. First gen of a new resolution isn't always the best forever TV.
When speaking with Sony support they informed me that Costco's X90CH is the X900, includes stand and voice controlled remote. Only difference is the model number to distinguish retail version, which confuses me why Costco and Sam's club has a special model number while everyone else uses the standard model number. Some guys on Reddit are saying the Costco version has more Hdmi 2.1 ports than the standard version but has inferior speakers, not sure how true that is. I only need 1 hdmi 2.1 port for my ps5 and I have surround sound so it's not a big deal.
Thank you for sharing that. Often to make them "affordable" these are the very things they change. Good to know!
Altering the model number stops the ability to price match the Club TVs to retail stores.
The model # trick is the oldest in the book. Definitely why they do it I'd say 80% for sure.
What Steve said
Where u located and do you think best buy would be good 4 this job
Vegas. And in highly doubt it. Depends on level of expertise
8k where hello hello hello any content out there that’s not being used as a demo
No. No content except maybe UA-cam and anything custom produced in that resolution. All first gen new res TVs are almost always an upconversion
Yeah 8k is honestly only good for enthusiasts and people who have 75"+ tv's. Give it 5 years and you'll start seeing 8k content on Netflix and other streaming platforms.
What does this video have to do with Costco?
Models they sell being of less quality
@@VicOrlando I just ordered a Sony x900h from Costco. So it’s not the same quality as the same model from other stores?
@@velocci6666 if you read through comments you'll know that it's the features that vary not the quality. Have to pay attention to how you're going to use it.
@@VicOrlando if the tv from costco is different, the model number would always be different right? The tv i bought had the same model number.
For everyone posting questions, this isn't about warranty and this isn't too sell you on purchasing from Costco or best buy. They are different models because they use different things. I install and have been trained by these companies as an authorized retailer. Thanks for watching 😊
If anyone would like TV recommendations please send me an email and I'll be happy to help. master@lvmobilemasters.com thanks for watching. 😁
